The Room Where it Happens for Forests and Climate

In late 2019, Governor Lamont signed Executive Order #3, which re-energized the Governor's Council on Climate Change (GC3) with broader representation and new working groups.

4 new Sub-Groups of the GC3 -- Forests, Agriculture/Soils, Rivers, and Wetlands -- are holding public meetings between January and June, 2020 to develop recommendations to help Connecticut chart the path forward on policies and actions related to Climate Change. The meetings of these 4 Sub-Groups are open to the public (both in person and remotely via Zoom Meeting or Skype), and many of the meetings are being held at CFPA. There is a period for public comments at all meetings.

CFPA's Executive Director, Eric Hammerling, is Chairing the Forests Sub-Group with support from Christopher Martin, Cary Lynch, and Jaimeson Sinclair at DEEP:
