Conservation Agenda

Follow the Leader and Find the Bird

Every year since 1897, CFPA has provided a "Conservation Agenda for Connecticut's Land and People" and has worked with legislative and community leaders at the Municipal, State, and Federal government levels to achieve it. Recent priorities include the following:

  • securing adequate funding for the Forest and Park programs of the Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection (CT DEEP);
  • supporting programs/funding that support privately managed working forests and agricultural lands; and
  • protecting access to and compatible uses of hiking trails.
