Volunteering at Goodwin

There are so many ways to get involved at the James L Goodwin Conservation Center. We look forward to finding the perfect opportunity for you to join in!

As a Goodwin Volunteer, you can:

  • Help at one of our special events
  • Assist in the office
  • Teach an educational program
  • Maintain our grounds and the Richard D. Haley Native Plant Wildlife Garden
  • Maintain our extensive network of trails
  • Represent the Friends of Goodwin Forest as an ambassador at events

The process of becoming a Goodwin Volunteer is simple:

  1. Contact Goodwin's Program Director (bbernard@ctwoodlands.org) and we will work with you to find a great fit for your skills and interests.
  2. Fill out and return the Volunteer Application and take a look at the Goodwin Volunteer Handbook (both are located below)
  3. Attend our Spring or Fall Goodwin Volunteer Orientation (check the CFPA Events Calendar for scheduled dates)
  4. Have fun while learning new things, meeting new people, and giving back!
