Your forests, parks and trails (and CFPA!) want you to know how thankful they are for your support. Want to see what CFPA has been up to in 2018? Flip through our photo galleries to see photos of our participants and volunteers.
Here are a few ways you made 2018 a success:
- You advocated for the importance of public lands. Connecticut voters--like you--overwhelmingly supported protecting public lands by voting YES on question #2. This constitutional amendment will be key in protecting our public lands in the future, and thanks to all of you, it passed with almost 85% of people voting YES.
- You got people outdoors and onto all types of trails on Connecticut Trails Day in 2018. Our Trails Day leaders hosted hikes, walks, paddles and more all across the state. With over 250 events and thousands of participants, Connecticut again hosted the largest National Trails Day celebration in the nation. Get excited for Trails Day 2019!
- You helped grow a new generation of nature lovers. Hundreds of Connecticut students explored fields, ponds, and woodland habitat. Not only did Highlawn Forest host multiple field trips for local students, but CFPA staff and volunteers hosted a set of field trips for over 250 Windham sixth graders at the Goodwin Conservation Center in Hampton.
Thank you for supporting your forests, parks and trails!
