Annual Fund 2018

A CFPA volunteer marks a trail closure in Kettletown State Park.

You walk with giants when you give to your Connecticut Forest & Park Association.

You enjoy the benefits of the giants who came before you – protected forests, the Blue-Blazed Hiking Trails, and State Parks.

Budget cuts, wild weather, unwise development, and a lack of awareness and concern are killing forests and trails. Be a giant and give to the Annual Fund today.

Clare, CFPA’s Trails Stewardship Director, manages the Blue-Blazed Hiking Trails by directing the work of many dedicated trail volunteers. Clare woke up to a major disaster on May 16, 2018.  A fluke storm flattened an unbelievable number of trees and severely damaged many trails.

Clare rushed to coordinate with multiple partners - CT DEEP, land trusts, and towns - to get trail volunteers out to assess the damage. Trail triage began quickly and trail volunteers began the arduous work of opening your trails. It will take a long time for the work to be completed. Your support is needed more than ever.

You support Clare’s efforts and the efforts of well-trained trail volunteers with proper tools and safety equipment when you give to CFPA’s Annual Fund.

Give today and make a difference for your trails.
