We’re excited for the return of CT Trails Day on June 5 & 6! This year, because of Covid-19, social distancing and masks will be expected at all events. Registration for each event is limited to 15 participants per group and pre-registration (opening May 20) is required. Sorry, no drop-ins. Please review our safety information HERE.

Bog Meadow Trail boasts scenic overlooks of the property's two ponds, Ford Pond and Bog Meadow Pond, while also awarding hikers a tranquil passage into mixed wood forest and past Bog Meadow, where Eastern Bluebird boxes attract a variety of native cavity-nesting bird species. Hikers will have an opportunity to observe a variety of resident wildlife including (but not limited to) Tree Swallows, Wood Ducks, Green Frogs, Painted Turtles, American Beaver, and River Otter and learn about their natural history. Join Sharon Audubon Naturalist, Bethany Sheffer, in uncovering the wild treasures this lovely trail has to offer!

  • I release the Connecticut Forest & Park Association (CFPA) its officers, directors, employees, representatives, affiliates, agents, volunteers, and all other persons or entities acting in any capacity on their behalf (“CFPA Parties”) from any liability that may arise from participation in the event and waive any and all claims against them and all other persons or entities acting in any capacity on their behalf, including those resulting from my own negligence and/or the negligence of others, including CFPA and the CFPA Parties.
