Newtown - Horseback Ride - Upper Pagussett Trail Ride for Horses

Upper Pagussett Trail Ride for Horses

Event Date:
Sunday, June 6
2021 - 10:00am - 2:00pm
Rain Plan:
Contact leader for rain plan.
We will ride through the beautiful CT State forest which has lovely picturesque trails winding through varied terrain: the elevation does climb in spots and we will cross a stream and mushy area or two- depending on the previous weather. Being a natural environment there are some spots that have rocks on the trail. There is a short stretch of dirt road that we will ride on.
We will be in a group so riders & horses must be accustomed and experienced with riding varied terrain trails, and comfortable with other horses. Proper etiquette is a must and riders must be in control of their horse at all times. Although we love dogs this is not the event to bring your pup. Please feel free to bring a lunch to enjoy after the ride. Above all- please bring your positive and happy attitude and love of horses & the outdoors! You’ll want to bring water for your horse- none is available at the parking area. In the event of bad weather please check the Newtown Bridle Lands Association Facebook page for updates.
