We’re excited for the return of CT Trails Day on June 5 & 6! This year, because of Covid-19, social distancing and masks will be expected at all events. Registration for each event is limited to 15 participants per group and pre-registration (opening May 20) is required. Sorry, no drop-ins. Please review our safety information HERE.

Follow the clues and learn about the history of New London’s historic waterfront from the Native American Pequots (now known as the Mohegan and the Mashantucket Pequot Tribes) and the ecology of the area and the Thames River estuary as you solve a word puzzle. Finish the Downtown New London Waterfront Park Quest, then follow the clues in 3 additional quests, while exploring heritage sites that capture the hearts of bird watchers, dog walkers and history buffs alike. 1. Fort Trumbull Quest 2. Fort Griswold Quest 3. Hidden Thames Street Quest. Download and print the Quest clues from your registration confirmation or from the TRHP Quest webpage - https://www.thamesriverheritagepark.org/quests/ All 'Questers' who finish a TRHP Quest and send a selfie from the final location to info@thamesriverheritagepark.org will be entered into a random weekly prize drawing for a TRHP t-shirt. Finish all 4 TRHP Quest and send 4 photos from each location to increase your chances of winning a TRHP t-shirt. A complimentary roundtrip water taxi ticket* is available to all registered CT Trails Day 'Questers' who send a selfie from the final location to info@thamesriverheritagepark.org. Complimentary tickets will be available at the boats and may be used for any 2021 regularly scheduled ride.

  • I am fully aware that I am engaging in this activity at my own risk and am responsible for any injuries or damages that may occur to myself, property or third parties while participating in the activity, including as a result of operation or use of any equipment.
  • I release the Connecticut Forest & Park Association (CFPA) its officers, directors, employees, representatives, affiliates, agents, volunteers, and all other persons or entities acting in any capacity on their behalf (“CFPA Parties”) from any liability that may arise from participation in the event and waive any and all claims against them and all other persons or entities acting in any capacity on their behalf, including those resulting from my own negligence and/or the negligence of others, including CFPA and the CFPA Parties.
  • Nothing herein shall supersede other agreements I have entered into with CFPA.
