You can hike this trail anytime. The Apple Hill Trail (blue rectangle blazes) is located in the southwest portion of The White Memorial Foundation. Use the northern entrance, located at the intersection of East Shore Rd. and Marsh Point Rd. in Morris, CT. There is a small parking area. This beautiful trail takes you on a 1.5-mile journey (3 miles out and back) that begins on Laurel Hill, which is spectacular when the mountain laurel is in bloom in June. It then proceeds through the woods, on a short boardwalk through Cat Swamp, and culminates at the top of Apple Hill. At 1,200 feet in elevation, you get a beautiful view of Bantam Lake and the surrounding landscape from the observation platform on the hill. Raptors often soar above while songbirds flutter through the field. Don't forget to bring bug spray, sunscreen, and binoculars. For more information and trail maps, visit our website below.
