Volunteer to help clean up the Birge Pond and Hopper Area Trails with BPRYCS to keep the nature preserve healthy and accessible. Trail volunteers will remove litter, improve trails, remove invasive plant species, and help with other works as needed. This clean up will be led by staff and volunteers who oversee activities and lead participants. All the tools are provided, and garden experience is not necessary. This work can be dirty so come with appropriate clothes and closed-toe footwear. About the Area Purchased from Bristol Savings Bank in 1973, Birge Pond / Hoppers Park is located in Bristol, CT and features open space with kettles, hiking, and walking trails. Several historical sites are marked along the way with information kiosks 1-11. Historical and other points of interest include the site of a former charcoal manufacturing location and various glacial formations. The area also features 10-acre Birge Pond.
