Cromwell - Paddle

We'll paddle to the Connecticut River and back. The trip will go through the Cromwell Meadows State Wildlife Area, which features a large freshwater tidal wetland. It is home to several wetland species, including migrating wood ducks, fish-eating birds, bald eagles, muskrat, beavers, fish, turtles, and other creatures. Participants should bring their own canoe or kayak, along with appropriate personal flotation devices. Participants should also pack sunscreen and plenty of water (2 32oz bottles recommended). Pack a lunch and snacks. Children welcome, but must be supervised by an adult.

Exit 19 off Rt 9, turn W to West St and L onto Route 3 in Cromwell. Meet at the back of Dunkin Donuts parking lot.
