Help improve the trail system at Elton Rogers Park in Bridgeport, CT with staff from Groundwork Bridgeport trained in trail building and maintenance. Elton Rogers Park is a 72-acre park located in northern Bridgeport, CT. The park is predominately forested and features some elevation changes, rock outcrops and wetland areas. Tasks to be accomplished: • Removal of debris from park • Removal of invasive plants • Define existing trail by improving sight lines and clearing overgrowth. What to wear: Please dress appropriately for the stewardship project by wearing boots, long pants and a long sleeved shirt. Bring water. Visitors who are not interested in volunteering can be given a tour of the park that will include its history and some points of interest.
