Despite their cackle, the influence woodpeckers have on forest ecosystems is no joke. These keystone carpenters spend all winter with us, so we are primed to spot them in open canopies. Bring your binoculars or borrow ours and join CFPA’s bird nerd Bryan Avery on a walk through the woodpecker woods of Goodwin State Forest.
