A Walk and Brunch at the Hill-Stead Museum
Primary tabs
Join us for a walk at the Hill-Stead Museum trails and a light brunch. There will several activities. You can come to all or just one - whatever you would enjoy. The museum will be open before the walk, from 9:15 - 10:00am, for those who wish to see its significant artwork and lovely interior. We will then take a guided hike from 10:00 - 11:00am around the grounds, including the section of the New England Trail the museum hosts on its property. The hike will be over fairly even terrain, with a section of incline. Please wear appropriate footwear, as some areas may be rocky or muddy. A brunch will be served from 11:00 -1:00pm in the newly refurbished section of the museum. Laurie Giannotti, Trails and Greenway Program Coordinator for CT-DEEP, will discuss the importance of partnerships to the future of trails, as well as opportunities and challenges facing trails in Connecticut today. Weather permitting, the brunch will be served outdoors and is friendly to most dietary restrictions. Please follow the safety protocols in place. At this time, masks must be worn inside, regardless of vaccination status. Social distancing is recommended outdoors. Space is limited and registration is required.
