Event Description: 

The class will cover approaches and tools for organic management of vegetable insect pests.  A selection of insect pest examples will be used to examine the role of beneficial insects, cultural practices, physical controls, biological and botanical pesticides.

Dr. Ana Legrand obtained her PhD in entomology from the University of Maryland and currently works in the Department of Plant Science and Landscape Architecture in association with the Integrated Pest Management Program. Her research and interests are biological control and plant-insect interactions.
