The Apiary Series: Starting your Hive
The New Year brings a brand new start to the cycle of apiary management. Learn how to start from the very beginning with your hive. This program is part of a year-long series that will teach you all you need to know about keeping bees. In January, we will begin prepping and gathering the materials needed for beekeeping. Dave Gilbert joins us again as he teaches us where and how to get supplies and how to start a new hive during the winter months.
This event is jointly sponsored by the Connecticut Forest & Park Association (CFPA), Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection (CT DEEP) Division of Parks, and Friends of Goodwin Forest.
