Summer Sky Stargazing
Join us for a night devoted to the stars and constellations of the summer sky. First, we will learn some basic astronomy inside and get oriented to the night sky, then head outside to enjoy the beauty and wonder of the starry sky.
For those who attended the Winter Sky program, feel free to come at 8:30pm as the PowerPoint presentation is similar to the winter session.
Dr. Ralph J. Yulo Jr. is a Professor of Science Education emeritus at Eastern Connecticut State University and a local astronomy expert.
This event is jointly sponsored by the Connecticut Forest & Park Association (CFPA), Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection (CT DEEP) Division of Parks, and Friends of Goodwin Forest.
The James L. Goodwin Forest and Conservation Center were gifts to the people of Connecticut from James L. Goodwin, one of America's first professional foresters and a long-time CFPA Board Member. The Center is jointly managed by the Connecticut Forest & Park Association (CFPA) and the Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection (CT DEEP) Division of Parks.
