Senior Walk and Potluck Luncheon
These are easy to moderate but still casual walks taken on forest trails. These walks are a great opportunity to get outside, learn something new and maybe even meet a few new friends. Following our hike we will have our annual “End of the Year Luncheon” (now to be known as our Beginning of the Year Luncheon). Bring your favorite dish to share with the group!
These walks are very popular, and not just for seniors! All are welcome. Hiking sticks are available to borrow.
This free event is jointly sponsored by the Connecticut Forest & Park Association (CFPA), Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection (CT DEEP) Division of Parks, and Friends of Goodwin Forest.
The James L. Goodwin Forest and Conservation Education Center were gifts to the people of Connecticut from James L. Goodwin, one of America's first professional foresters and a long-time CFPA Board Member. The Center is jointly managed by the Connecticut Forest & Park Association (CFPA) and the Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection (CT DEEP) Division of Parks.
