Event Description: 

Join Dennis Quinn, professional herpetologist and soil scientist, on a wildlife walk at The Preserve in Old Saybrook. Dennis will talk about reptile and amphibian activity in The Preserve’s many vernal pools, even though the pools may be dry in late summer.  He’ll explain the workings of autumnal pools as well. This moderately-paced walk will take place over mostly gentle terrain, but be prepared for a few climbs. Hiking boots, water, and insect protection are recommended. Children 7 and older are welcome. No dogs, please.

Meet at 12:45 at the parking lot at 1278 Essex Road in Westbrook.
