Reading the Forested Landscape with Tom Wessels
Come learn the history of our forested landscape with well-known author and professor, Tom Wessels. Wessels is a terrestrial ecologist who founded the Master's program in Conservation Biology at Antioch New England Graduate School. He is the author of "Reading the Forested Landscape", "The Granite Landscape" and "The Myth of Progress". He chaired the Science department for ten years at The Putney School, a boarding high school in Putney, Vermont. He served as the chair of the Robert and Patricia Switzer Foundation, a foundation that provides grants and fellowships to promote environmental leadership. Since 1995 he has served as an ecological consultant for the Rainforest Alliance SmartWood Program in the Northeastern United States.
This program is open to participants of the Master Naturalist and Master Woodland Manager programs. Space is limited.
