POSTPONED: Welcome The Winter at the Frost Moon Night Hike
The forest is a special place at night. The unique sounds, smells and sights are a feast for the senses. Goodwin’s Program Director, Beth Bernard, will be leading a hike underneath the Full Frost Moon of November. Take a walk by the bright, hoary moonlight as you explore Goodwin at night. Please dress appropriately for weather conditions and wear hiking shoes or sneakers. Leave your flashlights at home, as we will be using the light of the moon. Rain cancels. Adults and children over 8 years welcome.
This event is jointly sponsored by the Connecticut Forest & Park Association (CFPA), Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection (CT DEEP) Division of Parks, and Friends of Goodwin Forest.
The James L. Goodwin Forest and Conservation Education Center were gifts to the people of Connecticut from James L. Goodwin, one of America's first professional foresters and a long-time CFPA Board Member. The Center is jointly managed by the Connecticut Forest & Park Association (CFPA) and the Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection (CT DEEP) Division of Parks.
