Orchard Hill Invasive Species Removal Demonstration
Interested in eliminating problematic invasive plants? Learn methods of barberry removal with forester Ed McGuire at Orchard Hill in Goodwin State Forest. Meet in front of the Goodwin Conservation Center at 8:45 am. You will then be directed to Nutmeg Lane Parking. Note: Nutmeg Lane Parking is easier if you have a higher clearance vehicle. The option of carpooling at Goodwin may be an easier choice.
This event is jointly sponsored by the Connecticut Forest & Park Association (CFPA), Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection (CT DEEP) Division of Parks, and Friends of Goodwin Forest.
The James L. Goodwin Forest and Conservation Education Center were gifts to the people of Connecticut from James L. Goodwin, one of America's first professional foresters and a long-time CFPA Board Member. The Center is jointly managed by the Connecticut Forest & Park Association (CFPA) and the Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection (CT DEEP) Division of Parks.
