Nature Weaving Workshop
Master Naturalist student Sonya Wulff is taking a break from wandering around in the woods to bring you this fun crafting event. Bring nature’s creations to you in this ancient, fun, and beautiful art form! Nature provides us with colors, patterns, and materials that are gifts from the earth. Join us to observe, collect, and create your own loom with organic weaving to bring home. No materials required and feel free to collect and bring any interesting natural treasures you wish to include in your weaving. Activities will be held outdoors weather permitting (in case of rain, the event will be held in the Goodwin Museum). Ages 6 and up (children welcome with an adult). REGISTRATION REQUIRED, space limited to 15.
This free event is jointly sponsored by the Connecticut Forest & Park Association (CFPA), Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection (CT DEEP) Division of Parks, and Friends of Goodwin Forest.
The James L. Goodwin Forest and Conservation Education Center were gifts to the people of Connecticut from James L. Goodwin, one of America's first professional foresters and a long-time CFPA Board Member. The Center is jointly managed by the Connecticut Forest & Park Association (CFPA) and the Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection (CT DEEP) Division of Parks.
