Mystery Beneath The Trees: Part 2, It's Hiding in the Forest Floor!
Leaves on the forest floor are more than compost! They are homes for many forest inhabitants. This second program of the series “Discover Goodwin Forest - A Nature Walk” has us looking for what is hiding in the leaf litter along the trail. Join environmental educator and Friend of Goodwin Forest Lynn Kochiss for a relaxed-paced exploration of the Forest Discovery Trail and examine leaf-layers first-hand. All are welcome, especially kids and families. Inclement weather CANCELS. Please call if the program is in question.
This free event is jointly sponsored by the Connecticut Forest & Park Association (CFPA), Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection (CT DEEP) Division of Parks, and Friends of Goodwin Forest.
The James L. Goodwin Forest and Conservation Education Center were gifts to the people of Connecticut from James L.
