Midwinter Nature Writing Workshop
Wake up your hibernating linguistic creativity with a workshop in which we'll use small natural objects we'll gather on site as the basis for reflective and observational writings. Participants will be offered a series of guided prompts to help them shape their reflections/observations into different kinds of poems or prose pieces as they choose. Please dress comfortably and warmly for a short collecting walk at the start of the workshop. Participants should also bring a notebook and pen/pencil.
Workshop leader: Poet V. Penelope Pelizzon teaches creative writing at UConn. Her latest book is Whose Flesh Is Flame, Whose Bone Is Time.
