Low-Impact Site Preparation for New Meadows and Groundcovers
The best way to start any new planting is by clearing old vegetation and weeds. Are we doomed to toxic chemical controls? Not necessarily.
Join us for a one-hour exploration of low-impact site preparation techniques. Landscape designer Kathy Connolly will outline some methods, tools, and, most importantly, the time needed for effective clearing. Please note: This session will not address phragmites or Japanese knotweed. An additional morning workshop, Grow Your Own Meadow, will be offered on how to establish and encourage a meadow.
