Living in Harmony With Mother Earth
Mohegan Tribal Elder Chris Harris “Turtle” will demonstrate his views on how Eastern Woodland Native Americans live within the earth’s cycles and how ritual and celebration play a part in daily life. Chris participated in the 2017 Master Naturalist program to better understand the connections to nature and wildlife in our area. Chris has been studying spiritual healing for over 20 years and herbal plant medicine since 2010. With his knowledge and lifelong tribal teachings, he will share how to connect to the path of the medicine wheel through the 4 directions, 4 seasons and 4 cycles of life. He will also share how to adapt the 4 directions to suit your own version of life.
