Ice Fishing 101
The Connecticut Aquatic Resources Education (CARE) program has been teaching people of CT about water, fish, and fishing since 1986! Certified volunteer instructors will teach you everything you need to know to get started fishing. The Goodwin Conservation Center is hosting an Ice Fishing Class. This indoor class will consist of two hours; topics will include safety, equipment, clothing, fish identification and ecology, life under the ice. This program will be preparation for you to try all the new things you learned at the fishing derby in Coventry on Saturday, January 30.
