Hike with a Trail Manager at Gay City State Park
Enjoy the sights of fall foliage and old ruins on this hike at Gay City State Park.
Connie Rokicki, trail manager at Gay City, will lead a hike along with CFPA Board Members Beth Critton and Tom Tella. We’ll discuss the advantages and challenges of being a trail manager, the importance of CFPA’s role, the history of the park and abandoned town within, and ghost stories!
We’ll meet at the park’s upper parking lot (right at the entrance) at 9:30 AM for introductions and light fare. The hike will start at 10:00 AM.
The hike will follow the White and Yellow trails, comprising about 3 miles. Sections of the hike may be rocky, muddy, and have moderate inclination. Please wear appropriate footwear and bring hiking poles if needed. Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome. Space is limited. Registration is required.
This hike has a 20-person limit.
