Gardening Workshop
This workshop is intended for gardeners with several years of experience, not for beginners, to help answer specific problems that you may face in your gardens. We’ll share best practices and pitfalls to avoid for this part of Connecticut. If the program is successful we will continue to have them through the summer. The July 18th workshop focuses on crops to grow for fall/winter harvest and on seed saving. You’ll find superior germination with your own seed. Refreshments provided.
This free event is jointly sponsored by the Connecticut Forest & Park Association (CFPA), Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection (CT DEEP) Division of Parks, and Friends of Goodwin Forest.
The James L. Goodwin Forest and Conservation Education Center were gifts to the people of Connecticut from James L. Goodwin, one of America's first professional foresters and a long-time CFPA Board Member. The Center is jointly managed by the Connecticut Forest & Park Association (CFPA) and the Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection (CT DEEP) Division of Parks.
