Event Description:

This class is targeted at both experienced and wannabe vegetable gardeners. Master Gardener John Lorusso will share his hands-on knowledge of vegetable garden production - the successes, the problems, and some solutions. He will discuss use of late season crops and techniques that will help you prolong the vegetable growing season in CT. John will provide you with practical advice on planning your next year’s garden.

John Lorusso is a 2011 graduate of UConn’s Master Gardener Program. He has organized and developed school-based community gardens. John has been very active with the People’s Harvest Garden in Pomfret, a large vegetable garden maintained by Master Gardeners since 2005. The produce from this garden is donated to soup kitchens throughout northeastern Connecticut.
