Friends of CT State Parks Day at the Capitol
There are many actions taken by the Legislature each year that impact your State Parks and Forests. The budget for the State Parks has been proposed for significant cuts, and CFPA and our friends at FCSP (the Friends of Connecticut State Parks) are advocating for a Constitutional Amendment to better protect public lands against being given away without public notice or compensation. At 11:00 a.m., there will be a press conference where the various issues will be discussed by Legislators and other experts. Come join us to learn about the 24 Friends groups who volunteer to support their local State Parks, and give a show of support for the Legislators who will be joining us through the day!
