Forestry For Landowners Series: Inventory
The Goodwin Conservation Center will host the third program of the Forestry for Landowners Discovery Series. Attendees will learn how foresters take inventories of their property. Species, site quality, tree health and age are all considered when taking a stand inventory. Foresters can also take general wildlife surveys. This helps landowners gain a better understanding of not just the plants but also the animals on their property. Attendees will even get to use some forestry tools in the field to find out how these inventories are taken! Not just for landowners, all are welcome to this program. Both indoor and outdoor components.
This free event is jointly sponsored by the Connecticut Forest & Park Association (CFPA), Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection (CT DEEP) Division of Parks, and Friends of Goodwin Forest.
