Forest Measurements: Part II
Join Program Director and Certified Forester Jim Parda to learn more about the tools that foresters use to measure a single tree and the whole forest! Have you talked to a forester before and had no idea what he/she was talking about? We will review some terminology, learn our pace, and learn how to measure tree diameter, height, and board feet. There will be forestry tools to use!
This free event is jointly sponsored by the Connecticut Forest & Park Association (CFPA), Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection (CT DEEP) Division of Parks, and Friends of Goodwin Forest.
The James L. Goodwin Forest and Conservation Education Center were gifts to the people of Connecticut from James L.
