CUFC/Forest Forum Conference
Renowned author and teacher Dr. Tom Wessels will give the keynote address on “Reading the Forested Landscape” (i.e., what clues can you find in the forest to tell you about past land uses, inhabitants, etc.). Panel discussions also feature a variety of topics – innovations for small woodland parcels, forest-based recreation, storytelling with maps, protecting drinking water, managing town forests, and more. Whether you manage forestland, live in/near forestland, or just care about the health of Connecticut’s trees and forests, this conference is for you.
**Tom Wessels is also leading a field walk at CFPA on Monday, November 6th that you can sign-up for through your online conference registration (the walk is limited to 30 people, so register ASAP).
Professional continuing education credits are also available for arborists, forest pest supervisors, forest practitioners, landscape architects, right-of-way and turf managers, and tree wardens.
