Come Walk Among The Stars
Join us for a night devoted to the stars and constellations of the winter sky as Ralph Yulo returns to Goodwin. First, we will learn some basic astronomy inside and get oriented to the night sky, then head outside to enjoy the beauty and wonder of the starry sky.
Dr. Ralph J. Yulo Jr. is a Professor of Science Education emeritus at Eastern Connecticut State University and an avid star gazer. Note: This is a repeat program from last year. If you have attended a summer stargazing program, please feel free to arrive 30 minutes after starting time as the beginning of the summer and winter lessons are similar.
This event is jointly sponsored by the Connecticut Forest & Park Association (CFPA), Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection (CT DEEP) Division of Parks, and Friends of Goodwin Forest.
The James L. Goodwin Forest and Conservation Center were gifts to the people of Connecticut from James L. Goodwin, one of America's first professional foresters and a long-time CFPA Board Member. The Center is jointly managed by the Connecticut Forest & Park Association (CFPA) and the Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection (CT DEEP) Division of Parks.
