Citizen Science Series: An Introduction to Getting Involved
Citizen science projects offer truly incredible ways to get more involved and immersed in the natural world around you while contributing to ongoing research and conservation efforts. This series will provide different opportunities to get involved with citizen science projects right where you are, to expand your knowledge and that of researchers! We’ll be mostly based inside and may step outside for a walk to demonstrate some of the easiest ways to get involved. Suitable for ages 7 and up.
This event is jointly sponsored by the Connecticut Forest & Park Association (CFPA), Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection (CT DEEP) Division of Parks, and Friends of Goodwin Forest.
The James L. Goodwin Forest and Conservation Center were gifts to the people of Connecticut from James L. Goodwin, one of America's first professional foresters and a long-time CFPA Board Member. The Center is jointly managed by the Connecticut Forest & Park Association (CFPA) and the Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection (CT DEEP) Division of Parks.
