Event Description: 

Join this family-friendly adventure as we don our nature detective caps and explore this nearly 100-acre gem of protected land. Learn how the local Girl Scouts steward the land and need your help to keep the woods wonderful. Play trail games, bird bingo, scavenger hunts, or other fun family activities that will help connect us to the land. Bring water and snack or lunch to eat on the trail.

This free guided outing is co-sponsored by the CFPA Rambles program of the Connecticut Forest & Park Association (CFPA) and Beacon Falls Conservation Commission.

As program of the Connecticut Forest & Park Association, CFPA Rambles are intended to bring people, fun, and the outdoors together. Led by trained CFPA Ramble Guides, these FREE, engaging outings are offered on trails around the state every month throughout the year. Each CFPA Ramble is designed to show the people of Connecticut how easy and enjoyable a ramble can be and to feature the many different outdoor opportunities our state has to offer.

To prepare for a safe and enjoyable CFPA Ramble:

  1. Be ready to begin the Ramble at the scheduled start time;
  2. Bring water, snack, and your excitement;
  3. Leave pets at home (unless otherwise noted);
  4. Wear sturdy shoes; and
  5. Kids, please remember to bring your parents or caregivers.
