CFPA Ramble: Women of the Woods Mother/Daughter Walk
Women of the Woods or WoW has monthly gatherings for women to enable them to connect with the natural world. Most gatherings are hikes in the woods of central Connecticut. In addition to hiking we take the time to admire the beauty around us, experience some quiet time in nature, and enjoy each others company.
Women, bring your mother or daughter (or someone like a mother or daughter to you) and join us for this Women of the Woods hike at Wadsworth Mansion, Middletown. Explore the beautiful woods and grounds of Wadsworth Mansion. Walk about 1 to 2 miles on trails to look for signs of spring, visit the vernal pool, and perhaps even find a letterbox with a hand carved stamp. This hike is for all women and girls capable of walking 2 miles on a dirt trail with some hills.
NOTE: This hike is for women only. Please do not bring male friends or pets. Registration is required, please contact the leader at the information provided below. Directions will be sent to all who register.
This free event is co-sponsored by the CFPA Rambles program of the Connecticut Forest & Park Association (CFPA) and the Women of the Woods program of Everyone Outside. Women of the Woods is supported, in part, by a grant from the Community Foundation of Middlesex County. .
