Where:
Tyler Mill
Wallingford, Connecticut 06492
Event Type:
Outdoor Recreation
Audience:
Adults
Event Description:

Women of the Woods or WoW has monthly gatherings for women to enable them to connect with the natural world. Most gatherings are hikes in the woods of central Connecticut. In addition to hiking, we take the time to admire the beauty around us, experience some quiet time in nature, and enjoy each others company.

Women, join Women of the Woods, for a 3 to 4-mile hike at Tyler Mill Preserve
in Wallingford. We will hike along some narrow rocky ridges that have nice
vistas before the trees leaf out. We will pass through a variety of
ecosystems on the hike from dry rocky ridges to the moist cool hemlock woods
in the shadows of the ridges. We will likely see some spring wildflowers and
interesting vernal pools. There will be some short steep up and down sections
and some portions of the trail are very rocky. Click here for
updated information and registration.

Led by trained CFPA Ramble Guides, these FREE, engaging outings are offered on trails around the state every month throughout the year.   1. Be ready to begin the Ramble at the scheduled start time;
  2. Bring water, snack, and your excitement;
