CFPA Ramble: Women of the Woods Hike at Chatfield Hollow State Park
Women of the Woods or WoW has monthly gatherings for women to enable them to connect with the natural world. Most gatherings are hikes in the woods of central Connecticut. In addition to hiking, we take the time to admire the beauty around us, experience some quiet time in nature, and enjoy each others company.
Women, join Women of the Woods, for a 2- to 3-mile hike at Chatfield Hollow State Park in Killingworth. This is a good place to hike even if many trails are snowy or icy. We will hike near a rocky stream, with water tumbling over or flowing around boulders. If it has been cold, there will be big, beautiful icicles along the rocky hillsides and small cliffs. The route will depend on conditions. In addition to hiking, we will take the time to admire the natural world around us, learn a bit about it and enjoy each others company.
Please click here to register for the hike. Lucy will confirm registration. Please email Lucy if no response to the registration form in 24 hrs. Directions and additional information will be emailed to those who register.
