CFPA Ramble: Women of the Woods Hike
Women of the Woods or WoW has monthly gatherings for women to enable them to connect with the natural world. Most gatherings are hikes in the woods of central Connecticut. In addition to hiking, we take the time to admire the beauty around us, experience some quiet time in nature and enjoy each others company.
Join Women of the Woods for a 2 to 2 1/2 mile hike at Millers Pond in Durham. This is a beautiful place for a fall walk. As part of our walk, we will spend some time sitting quietly in nature (AKA sit spot). Lucy will talk about ways you can take this sit spot experience home for an enjoyable, relaxing nature connection practice. Click here for updated information.
Please wear hiking/walking shoes. Please bring a pack with water, a jacket and possibly a snack. Consider bringing hiking poles if you like them.
Lucy is a SOLO Wilderness First Aid/CPR-trained CFPA Ramble Guide and founder of Women of the Woods and Everyone Outside.

- Be ready to begin the Ramble at the scheduled start time;
- Bring water, snack, and your excitement;
- Leave pets at home (unless otherwise noted);
- Wear sturdy shoes; and
- Kids, please remember to bring your parents or caregivers.
