CFPA Ramble: Tuesday Trails Homeschool Hike
Join the Happy Homeschool Hikers of Hamden on another adventure. This series is targeted to homeschool students and their families as we explore the Blue-Blazed Hiking Trails.
Chatfield Hollow State Park is a wonderful park and we will enjoy a casual hike there, first to the caves, then along the boardwalk over the wetlands. We'll see how we feel and decide where to go next - maybe a hike west and north along the orange trail, or west out to the pond and back, or perhaps we'll walk across the lawns to visit Schreeder Pond before taking a stroll along the yellow nature trail. Come on out and explore with the group!
Please pack along water and snacks and gear appropriate to the weather conditions.
The hike will be led by CFPA Junior Conservation Ambassadors Liam & Jack, along with their father, Riley Flanagan-Brown, an American Red Cross First Aid/CPR-trained CFPA Ramble Guide.
As a program of the Connecticut Forest & Park Association, CFPA Rambles are intended to bring people, fun, and the outdoors together. Led by trained CFPA Ramble Guides, these FREE, engaging outings are offered on trails around the state every month throughout the year. Each CFPA Ramble is designed to show the people of Connecticut how easy and enjoyable a ramble can be and to feature the many different outdoor opportunities our state has to offer.
