CFPA Ramble: Scoville Loop Adventure
On this CFPA Ramble, we will follow the loop trail through a gently rolling terrain of hardwood forest and occasional granite outcrops. Beautiful water views emerge as the trail skirts a sunny beaver pond, overlooks a broad tidal meadow, and follows a shady stretch of beach along the Connecticut River. See evidence of the bygone days of granite quarrying, riverside homesteading, and shoreline railroading.
Families welcome, however no strollers or dog, please. We recommend bringing a snack and drink for a riverside rest stop! For those interested in additional exercise, there is an optional uphill trail culminating in a cliffside view of the Connecticut River Valley.
This free guided outing is co-sponsored by the CFPA Rambles program of the Connecticut Forest & Park Association (CFPA).
As program of the Connecticut Forest & Park Association, CFPA Rambles are intended to bring people, fun, and the outdoors together.
