Event Description:

Come and learn about the amazing healing power of shinrin-yoku, also known as "forest bathing." Enjoy another way to connect to the land and yourself.

Scientific research has now caught up with ancient knowledge that time spent in forests have a direct, measurable and profound effect on the human spirit and physical well-being. The shinrin-yoku process is a guided nature session that will stimulate inspiration, foster awareness, reflection, and a deeper healing connection back to self. You can learn more about shinrin-yoku in this article in USA Today, or listen to this story on NPR!

During this introductory Ramble, you will be guided and led through the gentle, intentional shinrin-yoku process with a series of invitations, reflections, and general information. This hike starts in the parking lot at CFPA's headquarters. This will be a gentle, easy ramble for adults. The trail may be muddy in places. No dogs, please.

This event is being offered as part of a series of Forest Bathing programs at CFPA that include both rambles and presentations. Attend one or all of each! For additional programs, visit CFPA's event page.

Presenter Alexandra Lowry is a Certified Integrative Life Coach and a member of the Association of Nature & Forest Therapy Guides. Alexandra is also a Red Cross First Aid/CPR certified CFPA Ramble Guide.
