Event Description: 

Join Friends of American Legion Peoples State Forest (FALPS) on a family-friendly hike along the Agnes Bowen Blue-Blazed Hiking Trail. 

Enjoy a moderate approximately 2.8-mile hike along the trail. Dogs are welcome but must be leashed at all times while in the state forest.

Parking Information: 
Parking available near the Matthies Grove Picnic Area (street address: 101 East River Road, Pleasant Valley, CT). We will meet at the pavilion.

Each CFPA Ramble is designed to show the people of Connecticut how easy and enjoyable a ramble can be and to feature the many different outdoor opportunities our state has to offer.

To prepare for a safe and enjoyable CFPA Ramble:

  1. Be ready to begin the Ramble at the scheduled start time;
  2. Bring water, snack, and your excitement;
  3. Wear sturdy shoes; and
  4. Kids, please remember to bring your parents or caregivers.
