CFPA Ramble: Bear Rock Picnic
Join naturalist and Women of the Woods (www.WomenoftheWoods.org) founder, Lucy Meigs for a 4.5-mile hike from Millers Pond to Bear Rock and back. We will enjoy looking out to the pond, rocky outcrops, and the vista from Bear Rock (our picnic spot). In addition to walking, we will take the time to admire the beauty around us, learn a bit about the flora or fauna, and enjoy each other's company. If it is hot, there will be an optional swim in Millers Pond near the end of the hike. Contact hike leader for more detailed directions and inclement weather changes or cancellations.
Go to http://www.ct.gov/deep/cwp/view.asp?A=2716&Q=325240 for a map and more information about Millers Pond State Park, which can be reached from Route 9 Exit 11, west on Route 155, left on Millbrook Road, and then bear left on Foothills Road.
