CFPA Ramble: Barefoot Hike on the Zoar Trail
Join us on the Zoar Trail in Paugussett State Forest as we go on a Barefoot Ramble. Barefoot hiking brings one closer to nature and truly in contact with the land. During this adventure we will hike to a waterfall and have a chance to go swimming. This hike is suitable for beginners and will be able 3.2 miles in total as we walk along the beautiful Lake Zoar.
We will meet at cul-de-sac at the end of Great Quarter Road. The hike will start at 10:15 p.m. so please be prompt. Also, please bring a lunch as we will eat by the waterfall and give people an opportunity for a swim.
Being barefoot it not required to join us at this Ramble but it highly recommended. For those of you new to barefoot hiking, check out these resources: Beginners Guide to Barefoot Hiking and The Barefoot Hiker by CT's own Richard Frazine.
This free guided outing is co-sponsored by the CFPA Rambles program of the Connecticut Forest & Park Association (CFPA) and The Barefoot Hikers of Connecticut.
