BBHT Fall Hike Series- Nehantic & Pachaug Trails
Join us for a fun, 4.5- mile guided group hike on the Nehantic & Pachaug Trails in Pachaug State Forest, CT's largest state forest. This will be an out & back hike featuring views from the top of Mt. Misery and a visit to the Rhododendron Sanctuary. This hike is part of our Fall Hike Series in celebration of the 90th Anniversary of Connecticut’s Blue- Blaze Hiking Trail System (1929-2019)!
Each hiker will be provided with bottled water, snack, sunblock & insect repellent. A daypack, waist pack or jacket with pockets to carry these items is recommended. You may want to pack The Ten Essentials of hiking with you (your guide will have these items too).
Proper hiking clothing (no cotton) and footwear (hiking boots, hiking shoes or trail runners) are important for a safe and enjoyable experience.
This hike will count toward your mileage for the Blue Trails Hike Challenge.
