2016 Connecticut Trails Day
Join the largest National Trails Day® (NTD) celebration in the nation the first weekend in June. Choose from over 200 free events— hikes, educational walks, trail runs, bike rides, horseback rides, water trail paddles, letterboxing, trail work parties, and more. Coordinated by the Connecticut Forest & Park Association (CFPA, the state’s first nonprofit conservation organization) in partnership with over 200 hosting organizations, this unique celebration offers fun outdoor activities for all ages and abilities. Kick off summer early with fun-filled events on state, land trust, town, and private trails. Join the fun!
After April 1st, visit www.ctwoodlands.org/ct-trails-weekend for full event listings and details.
A summary of event listings is also published in the annual CT Trails Weekend Booklet, which is available for pick up by mid-May at select public drop points: CFPA headquarters (in Rockfall, CT), town/city halls, public libraries, nature centers, state parks, and outdoor retailers, while supplies last. Connecticut Forest & Park Association members receive their printed booklet in the mail.
